The Boston real estate market is starting to show real signs of life. It is too soon to call this a “trend”, but it was reported last week of May 2007 that that sales are up, and inventory is down. In Brookline, MA, home sales grew by 32 percent over the same period last year, and the median price for a single-family home dropped by 4%
A few projects may have been canceled or, in the words of some developers, "repurposed." But it seems that the condo-sales market in Center City fared better during the 2006 real estate slowdown than markets did in Washington, New York, Boston, Miami and Las Vegas, according to economists, developers and local real estate agents.
